2 Poems by Phil Wood

Ignored

The paragraph of mud
muffles our boots. Two birds
skip rocks, a rain-happy stream;
they splash their fearless joy.

Open Window

The butterfly net fraying
in the fossilized light
of his study. My flutter
of childhood escapes.
