And so it is
we find ourselves
in this place
unexpected.
Controlled tic of the clock
unwavering in its pursuit
of the next minute, hour
day, month, year.
Yet, in this era
of speed of communication
we slow it down
each tic of the clock
of consequence
Savour each drop of rain
every fallen leaf
each blush of flower
every bird stopover
Relish each touch of hand
every brush of flesh of lip
each word exchanged
every unruffled second
