1 Poem by Jeremy Nathan Marks

The fish in the wind

The meaning of fish is found among other fish
in much the same way water tastes like water.

I saw a fish caught in a net:
the wind was its egg,
the net its pond.

But the meaning of fish, egg, net
I must insist
is only to be found within the pen
that paired them.
