About your despair
Nor your petty wares
Or whatever it is you have to share
Water Wells
You could see within our wishing well
Countless stars and endless waterfalls
But one drop taints the well
And now we only see ourselves in free falls

Anthony David Vernon is a Cuban-American literary writer who earned his master's degree in philosophy at the University of New Mexico. He is a regularly published author of poetry along with short stories and philosophical articles in various outlets.
