Catch 22
His father told him "she's a catch."
Anyone who could love her a real kind of love
would love a lady in white,
a not quite there,
a ghost.
Never sure if he was there,
or she,
if they were crossing planes
or sharing time.
Anyone who loved her
would love the lady vanishing,
wanting to stay,
but brightening and fading.
Heart in the right place,
and the rest decaying.
