1 Poem by Brent Yergensen

The Autumn Breeze of 97

A car, a girl, a path so dear
Saw life secured, his future clear
Halloween afternoon, beautiful autumn of 97
But a parking lot breeze foreshadowed the lesson
Venturing into duty that life would soon scatter
His mind and plans sure to shatter
That parking lot breeze seemed a destiny at home
But life spun a riddle—the world to roam
That 97 moment swiveled the young man
Now a mem’ry proving life's diff’ring plan
