She sleeps in clothed sheathes
Blonde hair leaks out like leaves in a levy
She channels Florence
Having worked the night shift
Black scrubs replace a white dress
The charcoal cocoon
Hides her from the noon sun
Like a caterpillar curled up in down
Honeybees buzz
In rhythmic gasps
Letting the outside world know
She still breathes
Then I wake up beside her
And blurt the title
Bionote
