koi fish
swimming in the pond
beneath the colorful
singing tulips
it makes me wonder if
we aren't all just fish
swimming beneath the galaxy's garden
of dying flowers?
i want to say no,
but sunsets are so colorful;
i cannot help but think them flowers
trembling in the sea of the sky.
sad song of the moon
pale painted white moon
a face of tragic pain
savage beauty
folded in the petals of her pain,
small yet large enough to command
the oceans and demand respect
from wolves and man;
i wonder if she trusts a single soul
or if her wounded heart
has grown thorns and thistles to protect itself
from love that could tear more wounds
into her soul.
