A METAPHOR’S USE
The thin epidermal skin
of your life
neat, patterned, structured.
Watch it from a distance
hold it against the sun;
it glitters, shines.
Peel it off
layer by layer
reach the bulbous deep.
Now tell what you see.
Use this metaphor to
wipe the spill, the meaning.
