1 Poem by Vyara Kozareva

 FREE-HAND

In the morning

The rooster has the moon in his peak

Before hiding it under his pinion

Outflanks the farmyard

With an air of importance

Lofty in his carmine charm

Clears his voice

With refinement

And straight of the cupped hands of the fate

Pecks out the new day’s hours

In their peculiar alternation

Between the allotropes of carbon.
