A bird
I was not born a bird, but became a bird
I sang, I observed, I experienced,
Tabula rasa
I heard, I learned, I behaved
Like a bird
I read, I repeated, I thought,
Now
I think, therefore I am a bird
Not on the wings of poesy but
Dipping my beak in the river, catching the silver
Teasing flowers, listening to the chitchat of insects
A bird is born free and everywhere in chains
Now
I know why the caged bird sings
Bionote
