1 Poem by K.D. Zwierz

Castaways

I do not see
Saints or madmen
Only mechanisms
Of crude damnation

Dwindling
Like smoke
On an icy wind.

Footsteps dissolve
In the silence
Of the day's dying ember.

The pale of their vanished eyes
More bloodless than the moon

Where the rivers long stopped flowing
But for the echo of their sins.
