1 Poem by E. Martin Pedersen

That Noise

Where's that noise coming from?
It's very annoying
like a pounding muffled screaming deep breathing
a clanking breaking rhythmical scraping
metal on metal, machine against machine
is it out the window or
did I lose myself in a dream
of being so enraged so distant so depressed
I couldn't get up and get dressed
I can't get to the day's chores
with that horrible painful noise
going on and off, in and out on the wind.
