1 Poem by James G. Piatt

A Summer Day

The balmy heat of the noonday sun,
Hundreds of colorful hollyhocks in bloom,
And an elderly man pondering his declining
Years as he sat in the shade of a tall
Sycamore tree, reaching for the sky.
