The Art of Translation

If you take
the shortcut to

Locution Dock,
we can walk

the last plank
before the pirates

slip off their
sailor suits

and hoist the cross
& skull bones.


Frank William Finney is a poet from Massachusetts.  He lived in Thailand from 1995 until 2020, where he taught literature at Thammasat University.  His work has appeared in Constellations, Lucky JeffersonPoetry PacificThe Raven’s PerchSlipstream, and elsewhere. His chapbook The Folding of the Wings is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press.
