Poets

Some poets are slave-poets
Who sing the secrecy of tribulation
And sigh with songs
Their poems are brambles
Which cannot be placed into the vase

Some poets are soldier-poets
Who sing the triumph of truth
And shoot with songs
Their poems are blood
Which cannot be poured into the goblet

他唱苦难的秘密
他用歌叹息
他的诗是荆棘
不能插在花瓶里

有战士诗人
他唱真理的胜利
他用歌射击
他的诗是血液
不能倒在酒杯里

About the author:
Lü Yuan (1922—2009), his original name was Liu Renfu, and he has ever adopted the pen name of Liu Banjiu. His ancestral place is Huangpo of Hubei Province. In 1942, when he was pursuing his studies at Fudan University in Chongqing, he co-edited the poetry magazine of Poetry Land for Cultivation together with Zou Difan, Zeng Zhuo, etc. After 1949, he has successively been director of International Publicity Sector of the National Ministry of Publicity of the Communist Party of China, and vice chief editor of the People’s Literature Publishing House, etc. His main works include poem collections such as Fairy Tales, Mortal Poems, Sequel to Mortal Poems, Another Song, Self-selected Poems of Lü Yuan, and many translated works.

作者简介:
绿原19222009),原名刘仁甫,曾用笔名刘半九,湖北省黄陂县人。1942年在重庆复旦大学求学期间,与邹荻帆、曾卓等人合编《诗垦地》诗刊。1949年后,历任中共中央宣传部国际宣传处组长、人民文学出版社副总编辑等职。主要作品有:诗集《童话》、《人之诗》、《人之诗续编》、《另一只歌》、《绿原自选诗》及译著多种。
