             Oh, we are cavalier,
             outlier in seeming
             charmed decades,
             then sword hovers

            or is it lotus flower?
             Stamen, pistol sheathed
             in petals and its stem,
             anchored in silt.
       
             Its medium: impermanence,
            suffering, and our surrender.
