1 Poem by LindaAnn LoSchiavo

Subway Panhandlers

Can panhandlers decode expressions,
My dishonest ache, aware that
Gaps between what five dollars
Buys are something more than
Not enough? The poor
Ride a thin rail
On subways,
Cruel last
Stop.
