On the park bench
leaves dry into fists
shaking
at the parent tree
until branches
shoo them away
with the wind
which abandons them
like pedestrians blind
to beggars’ outstretched
palms.
RAINBOW
Rainbow-colored umbrella
siphons the rainbow
from the sky
until only it remains
a reflection on the lake.
